These images were shot in September 2019, soon after the iconic airport terminal, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1962, had been reopened as a hotel after nearly two decades of disuse. My intention from the beginning was to pay tribute to the architecture and to the photography of that era. The black-and-white images, which intentionally do not include any people in order to seem outside of time, embrace the building’s undulating, cast-concrete forms, highlighting their sensuality and imperfections.
