Cloudscapes

Soon after I got a camera over thirty-five years ago, I pointed it skyward without really thinking about it. It seemed natural, obvious. One of the first rolls of film I developed was images of clouds. I can stare at clouds for long stretches at a time, absorbed in their individual beauty. Looked at closely, each cloud has romance and drama, for me reminiscent of paintings by Winslow Homer, William Turner, or Ivan Aivazovsky.
