The tour was infamous for the booze, drugs and relationship breakdowns and hook-ups in the group. In Auckland, they played on a sweltering Sunday afternoon and took the stage almost 3 hours after the scheduled start time. The crowd was estimated to be well over the limit of 40,000 with some reporting it to be closer to 60,000. Mick Fleetwood broke a finger and the concert was briefly delayed while they taped his fingers together. They closed the show with ‘Songbird’ a Christine Mcvie classic.



This was Zeppelin’s first show after a 3 week break to wrap up their epic 1977 tour. Over 62,000 fans packed the Kingdome for a 19 song, 3 1/2 hour set. Jimmy Page wore his famous White Dragon Suit for the last time on stage, and Robert Plant had promised “blood, thunder and the hammer of the gods”. By all accounts Zeppelin delivered, with Plant commenting at one point during the set that he was deaf in one ear. The iconic Kingdome held its final concert played by U2 in 1997 before being demolished in 2000.


Sinatra's first concert since coming out of his first retirement. He was apparently paid $200,000.00 for the one hour performance. He then received a police escort to the airport and arrived back home in Palm Springs in time for his own New Year's celebration.


This concert along with the rest of their German dates was cancelled. Police management cited 'extreme exhaustion’ as the reason.









This was the Sex Pistols last concert with the original four members and featured Johnny Rotten’s famous concert ending line “ Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated”.








On January 20th 1976, the Eagles embarked on a tour of New Zealand, Australia and Japan. It was Joe Walsh’s first tour as a member of the band. Joe replaced original member Bernie Leadon who departed at the end of 1975. After 10 days in Australia the Eagles landed in Tokyo at Haneda airport at 6:00 am on January 31st.
They were scheduled to play 6 concerts. Two in Osaka with one night stands in Fukuoka, Kobe, Tokyo and Nagoya.
There were audible yells for Randy on each night and the tour contained the first known live recording of “Take It To The Limit”. According to Glenn Frey when Randy would sing it, it was mass hysteria. Tickets were priced between 1,700 and 2,800 yen which was the equivalent of $6.00 to $10.00 US.




This turned out be The Beatles last concert, aside from the five songs they played on the roof of the Apple Corp building in 1969.





Parton was scheduled to play five concerts over the weekend but all five were cancelled due to Parton receiving death threats. All concerts were all sold out.


This was their final show of the 1981 ‘Hard Promises’ tour in Gainesville, Florida, Petty’s hometown. Stevie Nicks joined the band on ‘Stop Dragging My Heart Around’ and ‘Insider’. Petty, opening act Joe Ely and Nicks closed the show and the tour with a cover of Chip Taylor’s ‘Wild Thing’.
